My Story

It was supposed to be a fun day at the park watching the 4th of July fireworks, but little did I know that my life would change…forever.

It was a typical, humid summer evening, the air pungent with smoke from cigarettes and barbeques. I felt odd but thought little of it, distracted by my anticipation for the show starting. About 15 minutes later, everything went blurry and I fainted. I recall the ambulance siren and the EMTs anxiously checking my vitals and giving me oxygen. A few hours later, I regained consciousness while at the ER and was told of the severe asthma attack and the danger of permanent brain damage that I narrowly dodged.

This experience inspired me to start breathific and raise awareness about air pollution. Everyone needs to understand the impact of air pollution on the air we breathe and the many diseases it causes.
